I've had 3 or 4 encounters myself.
1 was open carry while unknowingly on Indian Reservation property here in Phoenix. He walked up, smiling and mentioned the Indian Reservation area, and politely asked me to take it back to my motorcycle and lock it in the trunk. SURE! No problem!
2 In Texas, got pulled over for speeding (not paying attention) Trailer I was pulling had brake light out (great), and the .45 on the dash. He asked if I had a permit for the Ruger, told him he already had my CCW card, he looked at the card, gave me a warning for speed and light and let me go.
3 The Oklahoma stop mentioned above.
I open carry when I ride my Harley I OC usually, and even when the LEO's pull up by me at a light or something like that they don't even look twice at me. They all know the laws here and don't go over the edge about it.
