Nope. I'm asking where in the Constitution does it say the Amendments to the Constitution (the 2nd is an amendment, remember?) are suspended while a person is in jail?

Nothing in the 5th or 14th authorizes the government to suspend the rights secured by the Constitution and the Amendments. it prohibits the government from doing so without due process.

But let's run with the construct that the prohibition in the 5th assumes the authority to suspend the rights in the 2nd upon due process of law.

Who of the following can't carry a firearm in a jail under that construct of the 2nd and the 5th?

1. A convicted felon housed in the jail.

2. A person convicted of a misdemeanor housed in the jail.

3. A person convicted of a traffic infraction and housed in the jail.

4. A person not yet convicted of anything but held in the jail on suspicion of committing a felony or misdemeanor or traffic violation?

5. A person visiting a relative in the jail who has not yet been convicted of any crime or violation.

6. A lawyer visiting a client in the jail who has not yet been convicted of any crime or violation.

7. A heating contractor in the jail working on the HVAC system.

The reality of the Amendment has been bacterized by the politicians aided and abetted by the liberal media. You have to remember that nogods is from New York where you must ask permission from the state and obtain a license just to own or even pick up a handgun. In New York we have no second amendment rights. They are considered civil rights. Civil Rights are granted. Second Amendment rights are inalienable.
He is also an attorney. Lock 10 Attorney's in a room and ask a question and you will get 10 different answers. Why? Because they get paid by the hour.

I am a transplant living in New York. The people that were born and raised here just don't understand how it works in most other states. They have become conditioned to the Sullivan Laws which were originally written by a syphilitic Irish gangster to keep his rival gangs from legally owning handguns. Then once you are granted a license you were licensed for life and everyone was happy happy happy. There was a widespread attitude of I got mine and screw you.
That all changed in 2013. The life licenses now have to be renewed every five years.
Suddenly and thankfully, New York gun owners are starting to wake up and are realizing that their rights are being molested, but it may be too little too late. The progressive's are in a full blown sprint to the finish line to institute their version of the New Order.

Amendment 13 abolished slavery except for:

And when asked about specific instances of people carrying in jail, he is stumped.
