Long or short action?

Coulda sworn I posted this but I must have messed up. How can I tell if my Weatherby Vanguard 300 mag has a long or short action? I want to order a new stock and I guess it matters.

My friend, I would almost bet a paycheck that a .300 magnum is a long action. I know the shell casings on a .300 Winchester Mag are longer than my .30-06's are, and the '06 is a long action - that I do know.

You're absolutely right. I found that out after I accidentally posted this in two places by mistake, for which I apologize.

The 300 Mag Wby is a full 3 1/2" long.
