I'm pretty sure in the state of Indiana, you must produce evidence of a permit to carry.
I live in Evansville, IN, and kind of a big issue happened not too long ago. Indiana just past a law last July that stated that if you have a Permit to Carry then you can carry anywhere except for School Property, Hospitals with a Psychiatric Ward, or any building with a courtroom in it. A gentleman was OCing legally at the zoo last August I believe, after state law had passed. A few of the other people visiting the zoo that day saw the man's gun, and reported it to the zoo staff. The staff called the police. When the police arrived, they approached the man, asked him for his permit, then asked him to conceal his weapon. The man refused so the police escorted him out of the zoo. Huge mistake. Evansville's city laws were still old and outdated. The man sued the city...
