I'm a newbie to ccw and live in the screwed up state of illinois. I'm a fl nonresident ccw. I do not understand indiana legal mumble jumble about the correct way to conceal in that state. Sounds to me like since I'm a non resident that I can not legally carry in ind. Is that true? Thanks bob

I believe you can carry in Indiana is a link to the Reciprocity Map provided by this site. I live in Indiana and just got my permit recently and if you check the map it says that Indiana honors all permits except Vermont, I assume it does not matter if your are a resident or non resident of the state in which you hold a permit.

Thanks Rob

It does say I can carry, but it is kind of vague describition, need more imformatiom on how to carry , in the car, on my person. out of sight, insight, loaded, cased, ect.

Thanks Again BM

You live in Illinois, have a Florida NR Permit and are concerned about carrying in Indiana?
I hope you live close to the border! If so, I would move!

That means you can carry it in the car in Illinois under their goofy rules, then when you leave the state you can carry? A lot of work. Find a job in Indiana or Missouri. Just sayin.
Good Luck.

I wish I could move out of Illinois, but own way to much land to do so, My job travels me through the entire east coast, just wasnt sure about In. laws.

Thanks for Help!!

If you are not an Indiana resident but have a regular place in Indiana that you conduct business, then you may apply for a concealed carry permit through the Sheriff's dept in one of the Indiana counties that you regularly conduct business. Once granted, the permit would be good statewide and Indiana offers a lifetime permit.
