It is imperative that you call the people listed in this bulletin and voice your displeasure with it. Even though these are not your represenitive you can still call!!
And call more then once!! Call in the evening or morning and leave a voice mail!! But let them know that you area law abiding gun owner and oppose this amendment!!
We are in for quite a battle and it is now time to act and not leave it for the other guy. We could lose our range because of these laws that are being proposed.

After getting nowhere in the Senate, the gun controllers have taken their campaign to destroy your rights to the Illinois House. Earlier today, Amendment #1 to SB2899 was introduced in the Illinois House of Representatives. Sponsored by rabidly anti-gun Rep. Eddie Acevedo, the amendment would do two things to you:
1. It would pick your pocket to pay for the confiscation and destruction of your own guns.
2. It would ban more than 50% of the rifles and more than 80% of handguns owned by Illinois citizens.

Also BTW, Mr. Thompson was lucky to have had the time to acquire his firearm from the safe. Eventhough I am from NY, I just tried to call all of these numbers. Every number had a full mailbox (hopefully from everyone calling before me) but I was able to leave a voicemail with Lou Langs office. Good luck Illinois.

Yup AND they're trying to ram through an amendment to the FOID Act allowing for LEOs to keep their FOID cards if they've been voluntarily committed to a psych ward. It also redefines "institution" to include a psychiatrist's office, psychologist, social worker, etc. So if you go to a social worker or counselor for marriage counseling, goodbye FOID. Did a family member or friend die and having trouble dealing with it so you go to a counselor to talk to someone? Goodbye FOID. Wow what an incentive to get help for something and instead let it fester.

The Judiciary Committee Chair was so frazzled that she just blunted SB2899 to the 98th ILGA. She said her phone's been blowing up over this. Had this "I'm so sick of this...screw it" then adjourned. Literally like 2 minutes. Dead for now...but IL gun control measures are like cockroaches.

Soon as this IL garbage is squashed (for a couple months) then I'll try my best to help you guys out in NY. Cuomo is sticking his junk in a hornet's nest. He's not screwing with NY gun owners, he's screwing with ALL gun owners. Thanks for your support of IL gun owners.
