Has the Remington R51 been scrapped?!

ALL mention of the firearm has been COMPLETELY eliminated from the web site; only the Remington 1911s remain. Given all the trouble thy had with it, has Remington scrapped the R51? I sent them an email; I will be interested to see their reply.

With the trouble they had, I'd bet engineers are working on a redesign that actually works. Unless they feel the disastrous roll-out has caused irreparable harm.

With all of the time and expense they must have invested in that gun, it's hard to believe that they aren't trying to fix the problems and salvage their investment.
