i have a taurus .22 revolver. sa/ da. it miss fires with cci ammo.
i consider this a premium ammo and would like to keep it loaded with this.
it fires just fine with bulk ammo. if i increase the hammer tension will it harm the firing pin?
sometimes it will fire the dud round in a second attempt. it seems the firing pin is just not strking the rim
hard enough. any input would be apreciated. thanks

You know, sometimes even premium ammo manufactures can release a bad batch with unreliable .22 ammo.
I've pulled the bullet on .22 duds and virtually every one had no primer material in it's base. If you find a brand that will fire every time, go with that and don't put extra stress on your gun parts.

An example of this ~ I replaced the 14# mainspring in my SP101 with a 9# Wolff spring and got an easier and smoother pull with better accuracy. Also, it still has 100% ignition.

If you get duds with every brand, THEN suspect the weapon.

Every weapon, regardless of make, has somewhat of a personalty. It may have likes and dislikes just as we all do.

Good luck and good shooting.

All Taurus, are guaranteed for life if a different box of ammo does not work let your local dealer have a look at it. If you do anything to it the warranty cold be voided.
