Finally agree with Cuomo

Daily News, via NYSRPA -

"Gov. Cuomo this morning rejected the Senate's attempt to
de-fund the gun control initiatives, saying "it is not something I
will entertain."

Cuomo, during a meeting of his cabinet, added the Senate "passed the
bill. If you pass the bill, you then have to have the funds to do
what the bill said. If you didn't want to do what the bill suggested,
than you shouldn't have passed the bill."

Andrew, you putz, finally you and I agree on something.
 
I wonder, in hindsight, if many of the legislators who voted for the bill regret their decision. The amount of backlash they are receiving has to cause many of them to question their vote. If the vote were held again today, would it pass? I have my doubts...
 
NYS has a billion dollar budget deficit. As a result, to close the budget gap, the Governor is talking about cutting $240 million dollars from mental health care and closing prisons where convicted criminals are kept. At the same time New York State is spending an additional $35.2 million to register law abiding gun owners.
