Are some folks on this forum actually in denial that violence, from the Mexician side of the Rio Grande, is spilling over into our border States? Let's see...Phoenix is in 2nd place for the most per capita kidnappings in the world; a rancher was recently murdered by illegals; a Public Park in Southern Arizona has been closed to US citizens due to the dangers being posed by Mexican drug cartels; illegals who have trespassed onto our soil are hurling rocks, large enough to kill, at our Border Guards while they're trying to enforce our laws; the trafficking of illegal drugs, human beings and sex slaves are all taking place on our southern border with Mexico; US citizens, who live near the border, are in constant fear for their lives and their property; Mexican illegals are demonstrating on our soil, while carrying the Mexican flag, demanding that we leave. It sounds like a war zone to me; and if you don't agree, your brain just isn't wired correctly.
While I'm on your side when it comes to illegal immigrants, and any kind of violence committed by them, we need to stay with the facts. Spreading things such as ranches being taken over by Mexican drug cartels, especially when the Laredo police department states emphatically that it didn't happen, does not help the cause. Scare tactics are a tool of the anti's and we should stick with facts. This way our arguments against the anti's will be better accepted. Our government has let us down when it comes to securing the borders and I fully support laws like Arizona's when it comes to protecting what the Feds don't. By the way the vast majority of kidnappings in Arizona are aimed at illegal immigrants where they are then sold as sex slaves or forced servitude.
