Greetings all,

I am a former LEO, Certified Protection
Specialist and graduate of ESI
(executive protection school in Rifle,Co)

This month I will be obtaining my NRA Pistol Instructor certification and will soon be teaching CCW classes.
I have extensive firearms training and experience, and have extensive off duty concealed carry experience.

I am looking for a PowerPoint template that i could edit for my classes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stay safe!

In the back of the NRA instructor book there is a section of slides that you can scan and use for the classes. At least its that way for the PPITH course.

Actually just looked. I got a disc with PowerPoint slides. You should get the disc too at the class.

power points

Thanks for the info. I am taking the ppith instructor course the day after BIT.

Thanks for the info.

No problem. The disc only comes with the pistol course though. I wish they had one made up already or the PPITH course as that would have been a lot easier for newer NRA instructors.

powerpoint

I recently got a handgun and a rifle and needed to make sure my teenagers learned the rules. I didnt think I could talk them into an 8 hr class, so I put together a powerpoint presentation. II know this is very basic but kept their attention for about two hours including hands on. I tapped into Guntalk videos to suppliment the lesson. If youre putting together a commercial program youll probably have copyright issues to consider but I hope this will give you some good ideas, I had fun with it. If you wouldnt mind sharing any feedback or some details of what you come up with, I would be grateful.
I tried to attach the file and even compressed its 3.3 Mb and Im limited to 500Kb on this website. If you can email me I will send it in reply. mfolaron@aol.com

I recently made may own combining Ky's CCDW /NRA basic pistol ( limited info) but it does a good job keeping my class on track. After using evaulation forms I get to see where I need to add things or take away from.

I believe the Power Point presentation is now included in the instructor course materials for PPOTH. Check --> Link Removed

What state are you basing your PowerPoint on? Template should be based on the requirements of your state.

Revised NRA Basic Pistol course has a PowerPoint that goes with the lesson plan.

Initially it will be Kansas, but will eventually be offering CCW for MO.

It looks like the most appropriate method would be to combine NRA Basic Pistol course with the Kansas CCW mandated outline they provide in the Kansas Instructors manual.

Of course I'm my opinion, there should be higher training standards and instruction, but that is what I will teach in an advanced CCW class.

After my years as an LEO, and now as contract security for the Federal Government, I am just a little biased when it comes to carrying a gun.

Thanks all for the input.
