Carring in a vehicle in SC

Is it legal in the state of SC with a valid carry permit to carry your weapon in a holster on your person while traveling in a vehicle?

Of course, as long as it is concealed. With a valid carry permit, you could keep it in a briefcase, a purse, fanny pack or pocket. You could also keep it under the seat or virtually anywhere as long as it is out of sight. Without a valid carry permit it needs to be in a closed compartment such as the glove compartment or center console. Remember to notify a LEO that you are carrying concealed as soon as he asked you for ID. Drive safe.

SC with a valid carry permit to carry, yes it is legal. You must advise to the officer you are a CWP holder and you are armed. The firearm must be concealed while in the vehicle it can not be exposed.
