This Link Removed could be the best thing I ever found. No need to leave a gun on a bed stand or in a night table drawer. Typically where an intruder looks first. No need to put it on the floor under a book or under a pillow. You should never put it under a pillow you sleep on ever. This fits between the mattress and bed spring. It hangs, without moving, where you need it. Where your hand reaches, without getting up or really moving your body much at all. Genius.

Oh and my 1911 fits perfectly.

Pretty neat, we are in the final stages of testing one kinda like that, but it can be transferred from bed to desk to car, anyplace with a semi flat surface.
