SO, I just sit and wait. I KNOW they have my stuff cause they cashed the check. haha
I am sure what people are speaking of when they mention certificate. When you complete a course, you get a little certificate saying you completed the course (suitable for framing) but it is NOT part of the official documentation to be sent to ASP. I have verified this.

Did you get a confirmation number when you paid? I paid electronically and then was given a confirmation number. It was this number I had to use to view my status.

I guess I wasn't too clear before. What i meant was that I too started an application before I had all my info, then restarted and application when I did have everything. When I used my personal info, It said there were multiple entries and I couldn't access my status. But, by using the confirmation number I could. There was no issue in regards to the "dual applications" as I received mine.

I can't comment on the disability as I don't know what you are referring to, but at least I can clear up one of your concerns.

Sounds like a great idea Hammer1960 LOL ASP website is messed up. It is showing me as having no info.
 
I just check the snail mail every day hoping I will see an envelope from ASP with the license. I would imagine updating the web site is a low priority. Those poor people are earning whatever salary they are given for sure....

Wife just got a letter. Her fingerprints were rejected by FBI now we have to go to Little Rock to have them done over and resubmitted.

Bummer!!! When did your wife take her test? Also, do you know when you entered her confirmation number in, if the status had changed? Are you able to just walk in or do you have to have an appointment to go to the ASP? Lastly, after the finger prints are given, are you going to know then how long it will take to get her CCL?
 
Arkansas CCL return time?

Took the class feb 16 . Mailed in immediately. Status changed to background check pending on April 5th , the 18th she got the letter. Had to call for appointment. That is set for Monday morning. Don't know how much longer it will be now. Will ask on Monday and post any updates then. Worried about mine now. HMMMM
 
Dang. Did her instructor make two sets? Ours did and he reviewed them before letting us go...and he's a State Trooper. Interesting process. I passed an FBI background check when I purchased my gun (no fingerprints on that one), then got the handgun, went to class, now passing another FBI check WITH fingerprints plus Arkansas State, County and city. So for Mr's Biden and Obama, I will have had every check but the cavity search!
 
When I took my class, I had a Sheriff deputy. He did 2 sets of finger prints. I will be happy if I get it by mid May ( On my birthday) That would be a great birthday present :)
 
Hello, new to the forum, my wife and I along with 8 friends all took the chcl class on Jan 6. We all mailed in on Jan 7 and applied online, except for one lady. Hers was mailed in 1 1/2 weeks later. Around Jan. 29th all of our statuses switched to " your training doc and fingerprint cards received, pending background", and has been there ever since except for the one lady who mailed in a week and half later. She received her chcl in the mail on April 11th....go figure! Any way nice to read that others are in the same boat as we are and its not a issue with ours. Thanks for the read

One set was done by City PD. We were told female prints were rejected often because they are more difficult to get. Even when they appear to be fine.

The AR State Police performs one investigation and The FBI does one also. It just depends on the luck of the draw and how soon the investigations are completed. Some take longer if there are similar names with problem records. There maybe more that goes along with it also. Prints and the like.
