Something isn't right with your story. The cop wouldn't be able to voucher the gun into the property room and tell his supervisor that he gave someone a warning for a Class A misdemeanor offense under Indiana Law IC 35-47-2-1 but took the weapon. That would get the cop some time off or a new career in my part of the country.

I agree. If anything, something is truly missing here, no LEO is going to slap you on the wrist for CCW (the actual charge for the crime) they only way they take your weapon that I am aware of is if you're not carrying your permit with you at the time you're carrying. It would be in your best interest to stay patient before your permit arrives. You asked for this one...Id recommend hiring a lawyer because obviously you left out the part where you spent a night or two in jail before bail was arranged.
