Short of it: Guy got denied entry to a club due to a fake ID, asked to leave, escorted to his vehicle. Guy tries to start a fight, gets pepper sprayed. Guy and his brother get in car and leave, then drive by and start shooting from the car. Guy hits security guard in the liver, just below his body armor. Guard is pronounced dead on the OR table. Guy is caught, and is sentenced to life in prison. His brother is being tried separately for his participation.

Sorry to hear about your co-worker (or employee?) GlassWolf, but glad to hear the killer at least got convicted. Hope the brother shares the same fate (at least).

Ode to the Princess:

The princess once was sweet and demure,
her actions righteous and so pure.

Then one day, a website she found,
And this is what brought her down.

She now is callous mean and raw,
Asking for the blood of the man to draw.

She'd like to see him shot in the liver
And watch his blood flow like a river.

What happened to the sweet girl we once knew,

The guy was on the stand, being belligerent, talking about how he told the guard "You ain't about this life! " and all of that.. acting all "hard." It doesn't surprise me he got the book thrown at him. When the sentence was handed down, all of the BG's family members (old women mainly) started in with the wailing, and the "Oh lord Jesus! Oh God!" crying.. Wher was all that when he killed someone for no good reason? Why scream because the BG got even less than he truly deserved? I don't get it. This is part of the problem with today's society. How did kids get like this? In part by being overly coddled by their parents while at the same time never having any limits enforced on them, or being taught right from wrong, or respect for human life.
The kid's mother said, "He shouldn't have gotten such a sentence! He shoulda maybe got a few years, but no more than that! It's not fair!"
How about if I stood up in court and shot your punk kid? How long would you want me to get sentecenced? Only a few months on good behavior? Would it be fair then, too?

Eye for an eye or liver in this case works for me. But instead of putting a bullet in it simply remove it and get it to a liver transplant recipient on the wait list. JMHO
