Had this gun for 4 years never a an ounce of trouble with it, This whole box of ammo wouldn't fire. The ammo maker says it's my gun. Striker isn't hitting primer hard enough.
The pic is the striker dampening spring. It's only thing I found that looked bad.
I replaced striker, striker dampening...
Looking at them, Currently have a XD 9 subcompact that is to wide to comfortably carry. Looking @ S&W shield & Ruger SR9. ?

I had the XD9 sub compact, Talked my dad into in buying XDS 9. It's noticeable thinner & easier to carry all day long. The trigger pull in only draw back. Mine has had trigger worked with about 4 1/2 pound pull & sweet

It's allot like like owning a Japanese motorcycle & thinking it's just as good as a Harley. There is no comparison tell you've been on one. Look at the price of 1911 it won't go down in value but the black guns can't go anywhere but down in value. So if looking to have something of value down...
Always felt a 9mm was plenty if gun for carry. Spent 2 days in Nov hand gun training. All the instructors were 1911 backers. After 2 days and seeing what a 45 would do over 9mm. There big saying if you could have a 45 why you want for less of a gun.
