Congradulations, you did just what you are suppose to do when getting a new handgun. Always try before you buy. I carry a 1911 and I love it. I tried 38 and 357 revolvers, several glocks , an xd and a beretta. The 1911 fit my hand the best, the trigger was the easyiest to shoot accurately with and I like the grip safety and manuel safety.
