Aviation police at Chicago's 2 airports are sworn LEOs that receive the same training as any other LEO in Chicago, but are not allowed to carry a firearm, and are trained to "run and hide" when faced with a threat.

they are UMARMED, the are a farce, they are not paid like real cops and they have no effective power like a sworn officer.

Danm son, you took that awfully personal. It wasn't me that pissed in your corn flakes this morning, but obviously someone did. And again, I guess you don't understand that they are sworn LEO's that meet the same standard as cops with guns in the state of Illinois. It's not a difficult concept.

As was mentioned in the OP, those police officers are indeed sworn officers and, as such, may still have arrest powers in their duties without being armed. If you think they are mere security officers, why don't you jack around with one and see how they respond?

Your mention of the Tueller Drill is interesting but you seem to have missed the point of the drill. That training is self defense training for officers against a short range knife attack when armed only with a holstered handgun. Plrincipal difference with that is that the Chicago officers are UNARMED. The Drill may indeed have other applications to give them an edge. In their case, their action may be a knock down-drag out fight to perform their duties. Little more dangerous than being only a security officer, don't you think?

the tueller drill comment was not made in reference to the trained monkees chicago is pretending are airport cops.
it was made in reference to the "navy" guy's comment about shootings in chicago's hoods.
