Overthrowing the US--count the ways

The occupant of the Oval Office promised to “remake America” when he was first elected to office. He is true to his word. There are so many ways to overthrow a nation, and he is a practicing marvel at it. Destroy the economy and put as many as possible on the government dole (record numbers out of the workforce; record numbers on government assistance programs); destroy traditional marriage, the fabric of society; refuse to secure the borders and bring in millions of Islamists as refugees--these are all pretty effective ways to rip apart the greatest nation in the world and “remake” it. Now the “president” is in a race to put the finishing touches on his masterpiece of remaking before the next election.

The New York Times reports that the “president” is redoubling his efforts to encourage legal immigrants to become voting citizens. The Times reports: “White House officials announced the start of a nationwide campaign on Thursday to encourage legal immigrants to become American citizens, which could add millions of voters to the electorate in time for the presidential election next year. With about 8.8 million legal residents in the country who are eligible to become citizens, White House officials said they were trying to make it easier to complete the final steps to citizenship.” The feds will be offering practice tests on cellphones, paying fees with credit cards, and organizing citizenship workshops.

The Times continues, “Also in the works are local initiatives to make immigrants feel more welcome, and a revision of Justice Department regulations that would make it easier for people who want to help immigrants naturalize to obtain credentials to provide basic volunteer legal assistance.” Your tax dollars will also pay for a television blitz campaign that has the “president” giving a warm and fuzzy “welcoming” message. Statistics indicate that about 60% of legal immigrants are Latino and 20% are Asian, with nearly a third of legal immigrants being Mexican. These demographics elected the “president,” not once, but twice. And he is counting on another socialist to finish the job he started in remaking America.

At the same time Islamists “refugees” from terrorist-sponsoring states are being brought in by the hundreds of thousands, the “president” is also using your hard earned tax dollars to curry favor with a voting block the next socialist Democrat will need to get elected. The end result is the further melting down of America, its unique and successful Republic, and with it the exceptional way of life called the American Dream. This is what happens when we allow our nation to turn away from God. There are severe consequences for breaking the laws of God, and America is experiencing them. It’s in our choices for leadership and our collective social morals. Proverbs 4:19-22 says, “The way of the wicked is as darkness...attend to my words...keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Yesterday Ben Carson told us that he didn't think that anyone whose religious beliefs included anything contrary to the US Constitution should not be allowed to be President of the US.

“I do not believe Sharia is consistent with the Constitution of this country,” Carson told The Hill in an interview published Monday. “Muslims feel that their religion is very much a part of your public life and what you do as a public official, and that’s inconsistent with our principles and our Constitution.”

OK Ben, let's run with that.

Today he made it very clear that HIS religious beliefs are contrary to the Constitution, apparently thereby self-excluding himself from the office of the President of the United States:

Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson is standing by his view that a Muslim should not be president of the United States, telling The Hill in an interview on Sunday that whoever takes the White House should be “sworn in on a stack of Bibles, not a Koran.”

Ben's faith apparently doesn't believe in the 6th Amendment:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

Even Ted Cruz thinks Ben has fallen off his examination table.

A Muslim president?

A Muslim president?

The leftist news media in this country seems to be beside itself as at least two Republican presidential candidates are not drinking the "peaceful religion" kool aid that all the other group thinkers swallow and preach on a regular basis about Islam. It started with Donald Trump, who was labeled a racist in prime time by Sunday night's Emmy Award host Andy Samberg. Trump was taken to task after a September 17 town hall meeting in Rochester, NH when he didn't correct a man who called the "president" a Muslim. The LA Times reported that "after days of scorching criticism" Trump defended letting that statement stand, saying he is not morally obligated to defend the "president." But wait, there's more.

Then there was Republican candidate Ben Carson who popped the bubble on the media's love affair with Islam. The Hill reported that "Carson ignited a media firestorm in a Sunday morning interview with Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press," in which he said he "would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation." In an interview with The Hill, Carson said, "I do not believe Sharia is consistent with the Constitution of this country. Muslims feel that their religion is very much a part of your public life and what you do as a public official, and that's inconsistent with our principles and our Constitution." Carson also explained "taqiya," where misleading and lying are allowed by Sharia law to advance Islam.

Carson told The Hill, "We are a different kind of nation. Part of why we rose so quickly is because we wouldn't allow our values or principles to be supplanted because we were going to be politically correct... part of the problem today is that we're so busy trying to be politically correct, that we lose all perspective." Said in a different way, Islam's values and principles are not those of America. Remember the facts--Islam denies Christ is the son of God; continues to enslave women and children; terrorizes those who do not agree with it; brutally murders Jews and Christians and, quite frankly, members of any other religion that dares disagree. How can anyone say that allah and God (YHVH) are the same?

It's also interesting that after nearly eight years of the current "president" in office, that people are still raising the question of whether he is a Muslim. He says he is a Christian. God only knows his heart. But Christ gave us a way to discern these people. In Matthew 7:19, Jesus said, "By their fruits you shall know them." In other words, actions speak louder than words. The "president" has shown 7 years of supporting Islam, and various factions of it, at the expense of this nation-- Arab Spring, Libya, Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, Al Nursa, Iran, Palestinian Authority, and the list goes on and on. He has defended Islam, while criticizing Christianity. There are Christians rotting in Iranian prisons while he does nothing. So is Trump wrong for not defending the "president's" faith? Is Carson wrong for saying no Muslim should be president?

Howdy,

Why do God believers carry a self-defense weapon? Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass...--- Job, 14:5

I've asked several of them that question a number of times.... They put on their tap dancing shoes and dance all around that question, but I've yet to receive an honest answer, for it would show their hypocrisy.

So, I guess if you believe in God you shouldn't be allowed or feel the need to carry firearms or defend yourself and others? If you don't want to believe in God, that's your problem. On the other hand, save your breath and stop trying to attack the beliefs of others. Not all Christians are hypocrites, and certainly, most do not waste time, energy or faithful capital on hating others because of their beliefs or lack of them. Intolerance runs rampant everywhere, and there are some Christians who suffer from that condition, as with any other group. I may believe that sin as listed in the Bible is wrong, but I won't condemn you for it, anymore than you should condemn Christians. Want to be an atheist or believe in some other deity, it's on you.

Well that's another little quirk among believers, some talk about god gave them a free will, and they are in control of their own destiny. Others, on the other hand will say that god has their life all mapped out, and any disease they come down with, and the moment of their death is already in gods database. Those are the one's that show their hypocrisy by carrying for self-defense, prepared to not die per gods schedule, yet still saying god is in total control. Perhaps gods plan for them is to die at the hand of some thug while getting cash out of an ATM.

Even their own common sense betrays their beliefs, or at least what they pontificate constantly as their beliefs.

Psst..... The President of the United States doesn't need to overthrow the United States. He is already the Commander in Chief.

Like I said, if you don't believe, that's your problem. I'm damned sure not going to make it mine. What I believe regarding God's intent for us makes perfectly good sense to me. What it means to you is of no concern or consequence to me.

Nope, not ********. Because I don't care what you believe or disbelieve doesn't mean I'll stand by and watch you trash those who do believe. I engage in conversation with others when I find their attitude towards those who believe differently from them to be offensive in order to voice my objection. I've tried to do it politely. Perhaps there's a lesson in this for those of you who can't help but discount the beliefs of others. What you believe is your choice. What I believe is mine. I will no more tolerate you telling me what I should and shouldn't believe than you would tolerate the same from me. Perhaps the lecture here should be in regard to tolerance, rather than your assertion of Christian hypocrisy. Come looking for a fight, you'll always find one.

In answer to the original question of this thread concerning how some here would have us all believe that Ben Carson is violating the 6th Amendment to the Constitution in not supporting a muslim for the presidency; you are failing to recognize that the prohibition against refusing to allow anyone of any religion to hold office applies to the government, not the people. In other words, Ben Carson's unwillingness to support a muslim for president is not in violation of the Constitution. It would only be so if a muslim was prohibited from running for the office. In keeping with the 1st Amendment, he has the right to free speech. He never said the Constitution should prohibit a muslim from running, just that he would not support it. Further, he is absolutely correct that the beliefs of sharia are in total opposition to the Constitution. So, should such a person who refutes the Constitution through his religion be elected to President?

I have seen that question thrown around by people who do not have enough intelligence to figure out the answer for themselves. Yes, the days of a Christian are numbered and known to God. He knows how and when we are to die, we don't. We exercise free will in our lives because God granted us that privilege and allows us to live our lives. While living, we have the same problems as anyone else, we are subject to harm by irrational people and yet, not necessarily die. That is why we carry a weapon. God does not expect us to be stupid and not to defend ourselves. Apparently that concept is too difficult for some of you to figure out but, work with it for a while and it may come to you.....or maybe not. I have given this answer before but it is not accepted by those who don't know God or have the slightest inkling how stupid they are making themselves sound by continually asking that same question. Guess repetitious questions are supposed to refute serious answers.

That would be great, and as soon as these damn christians quit pushing their religion into every facet of life and civil laws in this country, you would be stunned at the silence from atheists.

No, I doubt there would be any silence at all. If every law given by God were overthrown, the stench of the resulting ungodliness in the world would reach unimaginable heights and I don't think it would be the utopia you think. The only laws then would be what each person wanted and always contrary to someone else. Be careful what you wish for!

You're right about that stench OG, because every law given by God will be overthrown in the very near future, we have God's word on it. And knowing that we are already 67 years into this Last Generation, things are going to get very ugly, very soon. Immediately following the Rapture, "There will be great suffering, the kind that hasn't happened from the beginning of the world until now and certainly won't ever happen again". Within the next ten (10) years 3/4 of this worlds godless population will be dead, ushering in a glorious New Beginning. :victory:

Well why don't you give it a try and find out? My issue is not what you believe, except for the part where you believe that you have the right or authority to impose those beliefs on everyone else, cause you don't... as the SCOTUS continues to demonstrate.

Many civilizations without any religion have their laws against how individuals threat individuals, murder, theft, etc. Religion injects hate and laws, not based on the actions of an individual or group, but things they cannot control, such as gender, race, sexual preferences. It takes a lot of ignorance to hate based on what is between their legs, or the color of their skin, but religion found a way.

Gee, isn't that exactly what you are trying to do? We have had our rules on the books for hundreds of years and they have functioned quite well until the decline of morality in this country. With that decline came abortion, an act or murder on a living entity. Openly gay activity, which was considered a mental illness until the explosion of the sexual revolution in the country, has become rampant in direct opposition to our religious beliefs and is definitely not favored by the majority of our population. These actions came about by decrees of judges who, instead of ruling on laws, began making laws which were consistent with their particular partisan beliefs and associations. In other words, they have made their decisions on their own emotions and personal prejudices, not a very fair and balanced approach. Regardless of one's take on the whole situation, divine law has been transgressed. Divine law is woven throughout our entire existence and, no matter how one feels, they will never be completely overthrown.

Sorry :pleasantry:to have to disagree OG, but in the very near future, immediately following the Rapture, everything will change including the laws being overthrown. Daniel 7:25... "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time". This is a fascinating passage in Daniel which presents very original and unique information about the Antichrist. I'm not suggesting that the recent Supreme Court decision is a fulfillment of this prophecy by any means, but, it could be a precursor in microcosm of how the Antichrist will turn against all Godly laws during the Tribulation Period. This prophecy alludes to the institution of Law by the Antichrist and given the recent pronouncement of the United States Supreme Court on “gay marriage” which is fully endorsed by our president, it certainly makes me wonder. In 6,000 years of the recorded history of man, nothing like this has ever taken place. Not only do we live in a day where wrong is right and right is wrong, but now our nation’s illustrious leaders have determined that perversion is right. This Supreme Court decision reminds me how the Antichrist will turn Godly values, precepts and morals on their head when he comes to power.

Why the focus on openly gay people, what harm have they done to anyone, other than raise your blood pressure and give you something to rant about? Before gays came into focus, blacks and women were the favorite target of christian target of rants. We, as a society, will never eliminate bigotry and hate because of religion.

None of the problems in this country have nothing to do with gay people, black people, women, and atheists, the favorite whipping boys of christians expressing their god's love.

The problem is greed, corruption, ignorance, all powered by the money and control that drugs provide, both legal and illegal.
