How could anyone with an ounce of brains in their heads compare Christianity with Islam. Christians aren't flying jetliners into skyscrapers or performing mass executions. True Christians are simply taking a biblical stand on principals and morals that don't line up with the precepts of God. Protestants have never murdered others because of their beliefs. We've only tried to share the glorious gospel with them. That's exactly why I don't like that word religion . The Pharisees were very religious people but they were never justified in the eyes of God so what good was their religion. I don't want to be recognized as a religious man but as a man who delights in being saved by the wonderful grace of God. Nothing else I claim simply to the cross I cling. Hallelujah!

Well here is a short list;

  • Both believe in one god
  • both have sacred texts
  • both believe god inspired the text
  • both believe in prophets
  • both believe in other spiritual beings, angels & demons, vs. angels, demons and jinn
  • both have revered humans, saints and church fathers, vs. prophets and inams
  • both believe in virgin birth
  • both believe in the second coming of jesus
  • both believe in divine revelation, through characters from their special book
  • both believe in salvation
  • both believe in predestination
  • both believe in eternal heaven or paradise
  • both believe in eternal hell
  • both believe that people following other religions are wrong
  • both have houses of worship
  • both have a day of worship
  • both have religious leaders
  • both have sacred rituals
  • both have central religious holidays
  • both are designed to focus the people's attention and energy on a single, unchanging, uncompromising and invisible supreme being.
  • both believe their god created an inferior human race just for some extra companionship and love for himself
  • both believe this god then created a set of oppressive and in some cases arbitrary rules on them, which if broken would be met with unimaginable punishment.
  • both use this to keep followers in a continuing state of fear and compliance.
  • both are taught they are not to question but to merely accept, pray and worship.
  • both are taught to practice self denial
  • both are taught that their own will is totally irrelevant
  • both believe that the entire universe was crated just for them
  • both seek to polarize religions against each other
  • both use their holy book to justify their hate of others that are different
  • both are designed to prey on human weakness, just like all cults.
  • both are a product of man's fears and superstitions.
  • both panders to three human needs:
1) the need to belong and have others to help,
2) to provide justice in an unfair world, (sorry Hitler is not burning in hell)
3) we miss our loved ones when they die and want an after life better what we have here.

Having some common attributes means nothing. You have common attributes with a pedophile. It doesn't make you one. And it doesn't explain the violence and murder in these times. On Saturday ISIS beheaded another Westerner. Anyone have a report of Christians beheading someone other than the violence of the crusades? To a Christian the atheist is a poor misguided soul. To the Muslim fundamentalist he is an infidel that must be killed. Who would you rather run into in a secluded place? Still think we're the same? If we were you'd have already been beheaded.

Yes, there is little difference between the radical muslim and the rabid bible thumping christian. Both have their own interpretation of their holy book You keep bringing up the beheading, yet not that long ago christianity was the justification for slavery. Women are still cast as subservient to men, and only secular laws have attempted to put women on equal footing. Racism is a christian breed concept, supported by the racism in the bible, and the KKK uses christian motivations or goals for their actions.

Both christian and muslim use their religion as justify for their hated, the only difference is the level of violence they will use to demonstrate that hate. The fact our secular laws have pretty much subdued the actions of christians, and changes in technology. Christians in this country used to hang blacks and leave them hanging as a message, today video cameras are the visual demonstration and reach a much wider audience, plus the lack of trees in the desert. They also know they won't be arrested and charged under secular laws that don't exist or with no one to enforce. How violent would the christian hate groups in this country be without the checks and balances of laws that are enforced to hold them in check? How far would WBC go, if not for our systems of law?

Hate crimes against muslims in this country continue at a rate of about 1 every other day, since 9/11, but are not typically videoed and uploaded to the internet, and they are investigated and prosecuted through our system of laws.

The key point, and the very last on the list explains it all. All religions are man-made originating in fear of the unknown and later exploited for the purpose of attaining power and controlling the masses.

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck, just different species of ducks.

A true Christian does his very best to be christ like. There was no hatred or racism in christ. How can you chime off about the nature of Christians when you know nothing about the nature of Christ. It's obvious you know nothing of Christ or Christians from reading your accusations . Sure man is an imperfect being and that's why all of our mistakes in past came to be but that takes nothing away from the nature and character of our lord. If anything these past mistakes only proves our need for Christ. Righteous and holy is our lord. You really should get to know him. The kind of Christians I know would feed you and your family if you were hungry. They would provide you shelter if you were homeless. They would still love you regardless of your negative opinion of them. They have a sincere desire to be Christ like.

The fact that the "rabid Bible thumping Christian" does not try to kill those of another religion seems to be a great difference to me. Yep, there was slavery back in biblical days, even before the birth of Christ. Women were considered to be chattel then and the same in some countries today (Muslim ring a bell?). Things have changed considerably over millennia but, to blame all your references on Christianity, does not hold water. Women are being given equal opportunities comparable to men now but, if you will think back, there was a lot of political trickery done to get women into voting blocs by party lines. In order to do so, those advances were more forced than given freely by businesses. I will admit that was wrong and that a woman should advance on her own merits, not for political purposes. To say racism is a Christian breed concept is beneath you XD. Racism exists in all religions in one form or another. Always has and most likely will continue to exist into perpetuity regardless of skin color or some other inane reason.

Christians in this country used to hang blacks and leave them hanging as a message, today video cameras are the visual demonstration and reach a much wider audience, plus the lack of trees in the desert. Without doubt, those crimes did happen but those who did it were not true Christians, just someone who made a pretense of religion.[/B]

There have been crimes committed against Muslims but, there again, the Muslims are equally guilty of hate crimes in some of the northern states. Two wrongs will not make a right but I am eager to hear your proposal to end the problem.

"The key point, and the very last on the list explains it all. All religions are man-made originating in fear of the unknown and later exploited for the purpose of attaining power and controlling the masses."

This is a point we will continue to disagree about. I accept the fact that we were all created by God. If one wishes to say were created by alien beings, that is fine with me but, who created the aliens? No one will ever convince me that the universe was created by accident and we simply evolved. The world is too complicated for that. I read a very simple statement that answers it all for me written by C.S. Lewis, "I believe in Christianity as I believe in the sun, not only because I see it, but because by it, I see everything else."

You're simply gonna need to qualify the statement hate crimes are committed against Muslims every other day since 9/11. You're also gonna need to qualify the statement that no one videotapes it... like there's some grand conspiracy. They left me out, Boy I'm mad now. Who do I call about not getting included in the conspiracy against Muslims?
.
Problem is you have no proof of the duck. What you're describing are bad people. Those who use religion as a pretext for their acts, whether Christian, Jew or Muslim, are merely looking to justify their acts. ALL world history was violent. Unrelated to religion. Mankind is violent, unrelated to religion. The nature of human beings is destructive, mean, violent, deadly and horrible. You seem to have been "gut-value-programmed" to believe that all bad in the world is the fault of religion. It's the fault of bad people. Same in politics. All democrats, republicans, etc. aren't the same. When the dems do something bad it isn't the will or fault of all the democrats. What you're doing is the lowest form of reason... generalizing. You've profiled anyone who is religious as being either a Christian looney like the Westborough Baptist church, a Muslim looney bent on world domination or some other looney. So 95% of the world is looney and 5% is normal? You know when one neighbor claims it's the entire neighborhood he's generally wrong. I see very limited reasoning in your argument. In fact religious crazies account for such a small portion of population that it almost doesn't warrant any mention. And you can't pull an "Obama" in your argument. What went-on in religion 1,500 years ago has no place in the argument about current affairs such as the end of times related to world events.
.
And if you saw a big, bright UFO with your own eyes tonight what will you think tomorrow morning? Everything you though to be true now changes. Those stories of bright UFO's in the Bible suddenly take-on legitimacy. So then how do you know God isn't an alien concept and you're merely a pet? You don't. But you've closed the door on everything. Smart people can't have a closed mind. Smart people don't expect everything need to proven. Smart people know science has proven only a small fraction of what goes-on around them. Even Albert Einstein knew this. Which is why he preferred to be called an agnostic rather than an atheist. He preferred "an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being." Very smart man indeed.

People fail to know or remember that it was Muslims that were responsible for the enslaving and sale of Africans to America and other countries.

Israel in prophecy: Peace talks, Jerusalem divided?

Israel and especially Jerusalem has been in the news a lot lately. Israel is the ground zero for prophecy. As Joel Rosenberg wrote in his non-fiction book Epicenter, that part of the world is prophetically known as the epicenter because "the eyes of the nations are riveted upon Israel and the Middle East, the epicenter of the momentous events shaking our world and shaping our future." We know that in the end of time no one on earth will be Israel's friend. Zechariah 12:3 says that at the time of the very end, all nations will be gathered against her. This is to show that God alone is Israel's protector. The prophecy states..."All who try to move Jerusalem, the immovable rock, will injure themselves". We can see and know that the hatred against Israel and the Jews is irrational. That's because it's from satan. This rage and hatred of Israel will only become worse as time goes on and God executes His final plans for human history. The Palestinians are expected to submit a resolution to the UN Security Council by the end of November or early December that calls for an end to the occupation and the recognition of a Palestinian state along 1967 lines. Joel 3:2 prophesies judgment upon the nations for the way they treated Israel, which God considers His own, near to Him as the apple of His eye. Dividing His land is something He will render wrath for, and dividing Jerusalem is an even worse idea. Yet Luke 21:24 shows us that the Gentiles trample Jerusalem anyway.

A perfect storm is brewing for Israel. On virtually every front, ominous clouds are gathering, and should the menacing maelstroms they portend hit together, it's far from certain that the Jewish state will survive the destructiveness of their combined impact. Israel's policy of counterproductive compromises and concessions will elicit nothing other than demands for more and more far reaching concessions. By adopting a policy of continually trying to avoid confrontations in which it can prevail, Israel will eventually find itself forced to engage in a confrontation in which it cannot. There is one yet-to-be fulfilled prophetic confrontation that Israel engages in which they cannot and do not win: The Gog-Magog battle of Ezekiel 38-39. In that confrontation, Israel is taken by surprise, and would lose, unless the LORD had directly intervened. So, as we race towards the final confrontations of this world, we are beginning to see the culmination of 2,000 years of contention for this sacred ground, Jerusalem, and The Temple Mount. The Temple Mount is the spot where Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice, and the location of the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple. It is also the site of Solomon's Temple, and Zerubbabel's Temple (Herod's Temple), which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. So, for those in our government who seek an agreement with Palestine through Israeli concessions for land, and a compromise of the conflict over the Temple Mount, should read the Bible. Israel's enemies need to realize one thing ...God's Plan for the nation of Israel and Mount Zion will never be defeated. Zechariah 12:9... "And in that day I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem". And in light of these prophecies, the Biblical command to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" has never been more appropriate.

Armageddon: A Global Goal

Armageddon: A Global Goal

Before the battle of Armageddon can take place three things must happen:

1) World leaders must divide the land of Israel and scatter the Jews (Joel 3:2).

2) The Antichrist must confirm a covenant for seven years of peace in the Middle East (Dan. 9:27) .

3) There must be a world government (Dan. 7:23; Rev.13:7).

Concerning the division of the land of Israel, in early Nov. 2014, the new EU Foreign Affairs Chief, Federica Mogherini, traveled to Israel where she insisted on the urgent need to divide the land of Israel. She traveled on down into Gaza and said, “This [a Palestinian state] is the ultimate goal and this is the position of all of the European Union.” She even called it a “global” objective.

Her remarks reminded me of something Pres. Obama said at the UN on Sept. 23, 2012. He was talking about dividing the land of Israel and he said, “The Palestinian people deserve a state of their own…The question isn’t the goal that we seek — the question is how do we reach that goal?”

If dividing the land of Israel is a “global” goal (and a goal of the EU and the U.S.) then the battle of Armageddon is a global goal. This is true because God said, “I will also gather all nations [global], and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat [for the battle of Armageddon], and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land” (Joel 3:2).
Rather than looking at this issue through the certainty of God’s Word and His determination to fulfill every jot and tittle of it, world leaders are foolishly trying to appease the unceasing Islamic hatred of Israel. If these world leaders don’t back off, and the Bible indicates that they won’t, the world is on a guaranteed path to the battle of Armageddon.

Concerning a covenant for seven years of peace in the Middle East, the UN, EU, U.S. and others continue to try to force Israel to sign a peace treaty. To be honest about it, I expect more war before there is a peace treaty. But the Preamble to the Charter of the United Nations calls for the UN to maintain peace and international security (this could also be translated peace and international safety); and world leaders simply refuse to give up on the idea of a peace treaty.

Years of failed negotiations have caused some to grow weary of the process. Some are ready to try to force a treaty on Israel and the PA whether they are willing to agree to it or not. A treaty that is forced on people against their wishes will not guarantee peace and safety.

Concerning the existence of a world government, three world leaders recently talked about this in the same week.

Germany’s Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schauble, called for global governance (world government), global taxes, global standards, rulers, governments and dictators with global tax collecting responsibilities and a digital system to track all of this. His idea of world government clearly fits the kind of money-tracking world government the Bible says the Antichrist will establish.

America’s Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, said, “We are seeing a new world order . . . . being built. There are many questions, foremost among the American people: What’s the role of America in this new world that is evolving? Should we have a role? What is appropriate?” This shows a glaring ignorance of Bible prophecy. The evolving world government will be Satanic and there shouldn’t be any doubt about America’s role.

Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin urged the international community to establish a new world order to prevent future conflicts (to establish peace and safety). This is another statement that shows ignorance of Bible prophecy. The Antichrist will rise to power promising to prevent future conflicts, but he will go forth conquering and to conquer.

So the globalists have their goals (divide Israel, peace and safety, world government, etc.), but no matter how powerful they are, they are no match for God. He has His goals and they will find this out when they see Jesus coming to the Valley of Jehoshaphat to rescue Israel.

Awesome, and let it come the Lord is moving in my church in a mighty way, He is saving soul and sending deliverance to the people in my church, I'm seeing a great revival in the mist of what is coming and now is. God is awesome and nobody can dethrone Him, nobody can defeat Him, nobody can bring Him down, He live forever and we are going to live forever. Get ready for a great revival in the churches today and souls being save for the kingdom, GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST.

Without the expression of both God's perfect love and God's perfect wrath the Gospel is incomplete. God is love and God is just and half a truth is a lie. It's interesting that Jesus preached twice as much on the subject of HELL than He did about Heaven. Even more interesting is that 1/3 of the Bible is Prophecy and one full book is Revelation. That's an enormous amount of hellfire and brimstone to ignore, but that's what the "pew fillers" of this present day APOSTATE church of LAODICEA pay the modern day preachers to ignore. Only when we have the COMPLETE Gospel can we see the futility of this life. God's wrath is not a pleasant topic of discussion. It ought to thoroughly frighten us to contemplate being on the receiving end of the wrath of the Almighty. But whether we want to think about it, enjoying thinking about it, or care to think about it is not the issue. God's wrath is part of His character and we do well to understand it and live righteously because of it. The words of Romans 1:18 will not fail. When God's wrath is revealed the big question is, will your manner of life cause you to receive it?

MARANATHA! :victory:

AMEN, I will tell people the truth in my church the whole bible and not some although some don't want to hear it I tell it to them anyway. A brother in my church wanted me to water down the Word and I want do it so he left and I know that it's hard for some people it's hard. It's hard if a person transgress God law but if you keep it you want have a problem.

As did atheists.

Good point BC1. Even 50 years ago we all did thing (trash disposal vs recycling) that we would not do today. Some learn and teach others just tear down...Thank you for teaching!

sinful nature is always hostile to God....
