Your trying to categorize prophecy. Everything put in its place. Prophecies were written by different people and tribes, sometimes spanning thousands of years. Some written by a people with little knowledge of the natural world. Some based in religion, some based in visions, some based merely on stories handed down. Not at all. I just don't believe in the all-or-none view of prophecy. You follow the ten commandments every day? Isn't religious law the forerunner of common law which eventually evolved to civil and penal law? The rules of a decent society are rooted in the Bible.
