Ever seen the J.M. Davis Gun Collection in Claremore?

Don't live in OK, but I have and it was well worth seeing. We used to go to a big 3 day pasture roping in Bushyhead every year, and during our off time we found that and Will Rogers Museum and homestead.

winnre, you bet I've visited J.M. Davis Gun Collection and it's awesome. If anyone hasn't seen his museum I would highly recommend.

Be prepared - Be responsible

Thinking through possible situations and the best way to act and react is the first step toward being better prepared to make the best responsible decisions.

FirearmsCoalition.org is urging all to respond to the current ATF Shotgun study, limiting magazine capacity. This was my emailed response to shotgunstudy@atf.gov

As a Patriot that adheres to the Second Amendment and the 'Constitutonal' laws of our nation, I am entitled to an opinion. Rather than elite officials 'banning' whatever type of weaponry is deemed offensive by the current leaders, I would suggest a study of why the USA is the rare nation that encourages and supports, through generous legal 'Subsidies', the Career, Violent, Repeat Offender, the truely dangerous anti-American. The legalistics that support this individual that skews US crime statistics, should definetly be researched by a 'study', rather than how to obstruct the Freedom of the law abiding patriotic American Citizen, through ever more 'enhanced' anti gun laws.

To be like 'socialized' Europe and disarm the 'Subjects' of the Crown, is against our US Constitution. Disarmed 'socialism' is unacceptable to the CITIZENS of this USA. We differ greatly from 'Subjects'. Our very intelligent founders fought and died for our 'Independence' from That system. Are our present leaders and their appointed bureaucracy, incapable of the intelligence shown by those before us? If that is the case, the US Election process will take it's predictable course...and Change the course of this great ship, The United States of America, "One Nation Under God".

Just wanted to say hello. My wife, son and his twin sister, and myself recieved our CCP in January. Son is at VMI, his twin sister is at the Naval Academy. Both headed for service to our great country. I am looking forward to the information in this forum!

Love Texas. Feel secure in Texas knowing that a sizeable population of CC is present 'everywhere', (especially at Luby's:>). Thank Suzanna Hupp for us. CCW Reciprocity is welcome in NM. We Motorhome around fascinating Texas regularly. Great State Parks with Free fishing. :>)

All real Americans are always welcomed in Texas - and sure nuff, bring your guns with you.

And congratulations on having such fine children! I'm sure they make you proud.

Welcome all new members. The headlines, today's NM Albuquerque Journal by Jeff Proctor (same reporter that verbally attacked the APD officer for shooting the last career offender ..with a .45...several times), are now bragging about the FBI reported falling Major Crime rates (7.5%) in this same city.

As predictable by the 'liberal' anti-gun media, absolutely No mention of the rising percentage of 'Concealed Carry' all over the entire nation, including NM. It is not as profitable to attempt crime, and risk is much higher for the carreer offender, than before Our increasingly common, 'CCW' by law abiding 'Citizens'.

Risk Management is far more complex, to the Career Repeat Offenders (legalists and media darlings).... Who is? Who isn't CCW? Risky business...Now. Keep up the pressure CCW followers. Vote (anti-liberal) like your life depended on it...it does.

Holster give away

New Member from Utah

Hello, all. Made my first post today, although I joined up awhile back. Don't know why I waited until today to post.

I am more active on Defensive Carry and Utah Concealed Carry.

My wife and I both have permits, as well as 2 of my kids. I can't seem to get my wife to carry, though.

Hi everyone,

New to this forum and to concealed carry in general. I've found lots of helpful threads around here, I look forward to talking with folks :)

Hi everyone!! New member here from Baton Rouge, LA. Been shooting all my adult life (and there's been a lot of it so far!!). Just got back in to it after a 10 year lapse. My wife and I are going for CC permit class in two weeks.

Interested in getting into competition shooting as soon as I get the rust off (from inactivity). Bought a new Glock 34 to start playing with. Love it so far.

Thanks for having me here!!

Hi folks. New member from Niew Yawerk. I am originally from the great state of Arizona where open carry is permitted at all times except at a few watering holes that make you check yer gun at the door. I left AZ at 25 to chase a skirt and a job to Maryland with a stopover in Chicago. I enjoyed the hospitality of Maryland for 25 years where they even let you have a machine gun if your record comes back from BATF clean. Now I live in New York and I am having some difficulty accepting that I can't have the 25 pistols that I have collected over the years until I get a concealed carry permit that allows home storage and use and concealed carry. I probably won't have any trouble getting my permit since I passed all the background checks for my 'chine gun (which I had to sell, unfortunately since they are not allowed in this crazy state. I moved up here because the real estate market was stagnate and nice houses were going for a quarter of what they would have gone for in Maryland. I checked the firearms laws before I moved here but it still irks me that I had to put my pistols in a lock-up until I get my permit. I am retired and money is scarce. My wife has the handle on the purse strings and she hasn't found a way to put $110.00 up for the permit. So, I wait with bated breath till the day when I can plunk my permit application and my money down and get this silly business over with. I really miss my pistols. They are like my kids, ya know? Well, enough crying in my beer. Thanks for letting me in to this wonderful place. Azman.Link Removed

Hello all from Chicago, IL (One of the worst places to live while owning a gun). Long time lurker first time poster. I have learned a lot from this site, it's members and look to contribute in the near future. I also can't wait to move to AZ where I can further get rid of this "guns are bad" mentality that is forced upon us.

A Big Howdy From Texas

Allow me to offer a Big Howdy from Texas to all the new members. I hope you enjoy the site as I have.

About a month late posting on the new members thread but I've been doing a lot of reading and not much talking. This is a great site and I've learned a lot in a short time (gray hair still let's a little new knowledge in from time to time).
Spring is in full fling here in Alabama. Already seen a few days around 90 degrees. Won't be long until we'll be sweltering in the heat and humidity everyday. Look forward to future reading and posting.
