Happy outcome but a bit to criticize. Why answer the door at 3 am? Why answer the door at 3 am without the pink pistol? Why did the fiancee try to whoop up on the burly invader? Without the pink pistol?
And why-o-why brag to the world you bought your honey 60K worth of engagement ring? Tool.
apparently the perp was the first target she ever hit. I'm not sure I'd want my GF shooting at an intruder while I'm wrestling with him if she hasn't ever hit a target at the range.
And if I was her lawyer, I'd certainly not want the accompanying photo floating around the net while the matter is still under investigation. The less said (or in this case "displayed") the better until the investigation is closed.

Wow, you would think her attorney would have enough sense to tell her not to put photos like this on the internet (I would think she has talked to an attorney). Almost looks like she's bragging about killing this guy. By the way, was this guy even armed with any kind of weapon?
Agreed BlackieChan, no need for remorse for doing what needed to done. BUT don't glorify it, this just gives fodder to the gun haters.
I read about this on theBlaze and I was a little disturbed to see how she has taken this incident in stride. I don't think that her comments do us very much good.
She was saying stuff like, "I want to make a little money now".
It just doesn't sit well with me that she wants to capitalize on someone's death
Don't confuse that sentiment with pity for the bad guy, I just don't think that she is conducting herself very honorably and I think that it will look bad for gun owners everywhere. I hope that the NRA doesn't pick her up.
I've been reading different sites in regards to this story and her nonchalant attitude has me wondering a few things. If her shooting was indeed justified could her lack of remorse be caused by PTSD? It appears that the attacker had intent of severe bodily harm and she neutralized the threat and saved her and her fiancée, and with something of this magnitude I am just wondering if her statements of empowerment are a disconnect from the actual reality of the situation.
I have been posting over here:

and it sounds like the same behavior. I can somewhat imagine that if one had to take that last step and use extreme force, they would really be fighting with their conscience whether their actions were right or not. Justifying my actions would probably be my first step too.
Yes, but would you wear the blank and pink teddy for the post-shoot picture session?
