Good questions. As far as I know, you can carry concealed in a casino as long as the entrance you are entering doesn't have a NO Guns sign. I personally don't carry if I am going to a casino but that's because the only time I do go, I am most likely going to have a drink.
I do believe you have to register your gun within 24 hours though. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
This is just my 2 cents because I'm not positive of your answer, but I don't think I've ever been to a casino that didn't serve liquor, and I thought most all concealed carry licenses state that it's not legal to carry anyplace liquor is being served. Just a thought. Good luck on your quest to find out.If I go to Vegas, can I carry concealed with my Utah permit? Do I need to visit the Sheriff for registration if I'm there for the weekend?
I have a California CCW, which is not accepted by Nevada, but I've also had a Utah non-res permit, which just opened up Nevada for me this month with the new laws. I have a son in Northern Nevada, where I can now carry while I visit, but my question is for Las Vegas, where I also visit often. Is concealed carry with permit allowed in a casino? Also, I think I've heard that if you want to carry in Las Vegas, with a permit, you must register your weapons with Clark County sheriff, within 24 hours?
Could someone clarify this for me please? If I go to Vegas, can I carry concealed with my Utah permit? Do I need to visit the Sheriff for registration if I'm there for the weekend?
Thanks to all, Bersa

Nevada now recognizes 8 states. I have just renewed my Nevada Non-Res permit and the Storey County folks said it would take a couple of months because of the FBI backround checks.
My Utah will cover me until it arrives. BTW, the new Nevada Non-Res permit is good for 5 years.

Beginning Oct. 1, the state of Nevada will recognize permits from eight other states that allow people to carry concealed weapons, the Nevada Department of Public Safety announced.
Those states are Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Tennessee and Utah.
The 2007 Nevada Legislature passed a law that allowed concealed carry permits from other states to be used in Nevada. The Department of Public Safety, with the help of the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association, reviewed the laws from other states. It found 16 other states that had an electronic database accessible 24 hours a day that identifies valid permit holders. Of those 16, only eight had concealed carry permit laws that were as stringent or more stringent than Nevada, the Department of Public Safety said.
It will review the list of approved states every year, the Department of Public Safety said.
