Got an email from a friend today that I have received before. It was in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. We have all read/heard these before, but they bear constant repetition. I copied the relevant text from the file and provide it here for your thoughtful reflection.

Regarding the second to last item below, if it was good enough for George Washington, it is good enough for me.

But wait the founding fathers didn't mean citizens should have firearms they were talking about something totally different. I think you are misinterpretating plain English.......sarcasm is something libs will never get

Libs/Progs/Dems have a "preferred constituency"...... mindless mobs. They are easily placated and, once placated, are easily controlled and manipulated. The danger lies, of course in "upsetting" the mob. Therefore, it is best (for those who would "rule") that the citizenry be unarmed. Then, worst comes to worst, the citizenry/angry mob can be "cowed" by threat (or actual use) of force.

This "theory" works for both unhappy left mobs as well as unhappy right protesters. Except to note that Right wingers are much less prone to violence in their "protesting" efforts.

Under the concern for "not upsetting the mob/constituents/Government dependents", is it any wonder why the Dems blanche white when faced with the prospect of reducing the money "given away" in "entitlement programs" and their myriad of offshoot programs?

I don't see any other explanation for their reluctance to attempt to save the financial stability of the entire Nation.

I add that the Citizen makes Society, not the other way around. Our Founders knew that and placed checks & balances to protect the individual. Hence my signature. Otherwise it would be mob rule, which is were we've been going for some time.

Checks and balances are great when they are aloud to work. Unfortunatly these checks and balances have been misinterpreted so often for political purposes they no longer apply. Do your home work and vote.:victory:

Looters…. our politician they steal our hard earned wealth even at gun point if necessary and redistribute to the moochers so the moochers can reelect the Looters into office.

Moochers…47%. The people on welfare food stamps government programs (tax payer funded) that impede the progress for the producers and 47 % of those people pay no income tax.

Producers… The 53% of the people whole actually pay income taxes. These are the people that are demonized by the Moochers and the Looters.

As Looters continue to demonize the Produces that in turn incites Moochers to weath envy. This Rebublic is over as we have known it. All the guns in you safe is not going to fix it as an individual. The R and the D are equally corrupted. Quit your worry it is over the Politions have too much power and we all just sit back and say we want more of the same.

The “99 99/100 percent” is also an odd phrase for 18th century America, which tended not to use fractional percentages. It’s clear that “Washington” is addressing “gun control” arguments which wouldn’t exist for another couple of centuries, not to mention doing so in a style that is uncharacteristic of the period, and uncharacteristic of Washington’s addresses to Congress, both of which exhibited a high degree of formality.
