Thoughts on the lc9?

I just recently bought mine and finallly got to go and shoot the little thing. And wow! Love it , but there are some drawbacks. There could be a littlle more meat on the extended pinky grip , and the trigger pull is like a year away from the release. But overall awsome little piece . I am going to invest in a extrnded pinky grip and some rough texture for the grip a new spring guide and a 13lb. Spring and see what the difference is. Any one have any thing to add ?

Got my little LC9-CT a few months ago, it is my carry weapon. I love how it just disappears into a pocket. It is an enjoyable shooter.

So yours has the crimson trace laser on it ? I am assuming thats what the ct stood foe?

Love my LCp, lc9 is nice size, but trigger pull is terrible! Like 12 lbs! All my friends with them sold them their sights fell off and with the long trigger you cock your wrist

I sold mine, went to this Link Removed
Shoot one and then see how much you love the LC9. It's just me, I like the single action.

I love it for the size. Everything else is well you know. I haven xd sub comp. 9mm and i would rather carry that but its kinda hard to conceal. My sixze and then having the gun on i needed something smaller. I read mixed reveiws on the lc9 and yes the trigger pull is horrible. Thats the worst thing ever . But overall i enjoy the little thing. Diff. Strokes for diff. Folks. That is what makes the world go around. Thats why i wanted to get the out looks of the other peeps .

Trigger pull is actually about 8lbs I think, and I don't have any issues with mine. I would rather not have a hair trigger on my carry weapon.

If you can carry the LC9, then you can carry the PT 145, it's 1/8th" wider, same height and length. With a bunch of 45s.
Has a light trigger. Safety is between your ears.

I love mine. I carry it in an ankle holster w/the flat mag bottom on it (my legs are kinda small, so this helps prevent printing). Great backup and I can get a pretty good group from 10 yards, even with the sorry trigger pull.

Yeah i reall need to get to the range and get comfy with it ccause it just aint aint a grab and go gun. And like all " praactice makes perfect" . I appreciate all yall guys commits .

I carry mine every day & love it! It conceals easily in my Cleveland's IWB Holster, and I carry two spare mags. All mags have the extended pinky grip floor plate. Practice with the heavy trigger, and it's no problem. I, too, didn't want a light trigger on my CCW, and I wanted a thumb safety. (I sometimes carry my two little girls around the house and wrestle with them, so . . .) No problem with sights, and I have a LaserMax laser on mine.

Link Removed I had a chance to shoot my buddy's LC9. This is his secondary carry, for short trips to a gas station, super market etc.
Unlike my SR40C's trigger. The LC9 has a very long pull and NO RESET. It takes a bit of getting used too. Would i own one -YES I WOULD !

Sold my LC9 due to the trigger. Also, wife could not hit anything with it... Again due to trigger. Also, magazine lock is a bad item.

Again, mag safety prevents mistake of thinking gun is safe just because mag is out, when there's still a round in the chamber. Glock would fire anyway, possibly injuring or killing someone.

Looks like Ruger solved the long and heavy trigger pull with the new LC9S striker fired. If the price drops to $300 it may just give the Shield a run for the money.

I'm with Nick, if the price comes down I'll have to try the LC9S. I liked the feel of the LC9, just didn't like the trigger pull.

Understand about the trigger pull. Gonna try prob to trade in on something better. Have thought about a sig 250 sub comp. I really like the lc9 but that trigger is something else. Will check into the lc9s also. Thanks guys.

I have a LC9 and a Smith and Wesson M & P Shield in 9mm. I like the Shields shooting characteristics better than the LC9. Shorter trigger and easier pull. But It is just slightly bigger than the LC9. So it's easier to carry the LC9, especially when I am in running cloths. And it is a sexy, sleek looking gun. I'd rather have a gun with long trigger than no gun at all. But I do carry my shield more often in most other situations because it is easier to shoot. Here's a solution to help the trigger on the LC9. Galloway Precision - Your Polymer Pistol Specialist . You can purchase a 35% shorter stroke trigger bar kit that comes with reduced power springs and a trigger for $99. It is a drop in kit. Videos on their web site shows you how to install them, You can even find some installation videos on Youtube. I bought the kit, but haven't installed it yet. I can't wait to try it out and improve the shooting characteristics of the LC9. I think with the new trigger bar and new trigger combined it should reduce the trigger pull by around 50%.
