This is why New Jersey Sucks

So many additional requirements to carry a gun that are not in the 2nd amendment oddly enough.... No wonder New Jersey is such a nice, safe, crime free, violence free, beautiful place to live...

Yup you can drive through Camden, Newark, Bridgeton all day long worry free. Gun control works in the hands of a car jacker.

A lot of misinformation in that video. Boring as well. Sorta like watching paint dry. I couldn't watch this guy for more than a few minutes.

While NJ is clearly backwards, the second amendment was never construed to provide the right to bear arms to criminals and the insane. I doubt anyone on this site would intentionally hand a gun to such people. While criminals will always be able to illegally obtain a gun, it does provide another way to get them of the street.

LOL with lots of love I guess you applied for your FPID card in New Jersey Huh? Yes, I guess your right after 23 years of buying guns is the USSR province of NJ I got it all wrong lol. And yup applying, being fingerprinted, filling out redundant information over and over again for a gun sure is boring, that is in New Jersey!!! LOL

Would anyone prefer handing a gun to the murderer of their loved one? Experience will set you free. Try the topic through my eyes and the eyes of everyone who has had a family member murdered. I'm all for rights. but certain people need to be happy with the fact that soceity hasn't executed them for their crimes. Everything else is cake... for the rest of their lives, while for the family of the vitim the horror lasts a lifetime. i don't want these people to re-offend against your family. it's already too late for mine. Most states require some form of background check... thank God.

I think you are transferring some unresolved emotional pain through this post. I never indicated that I thought someone with mental health issues should be able to own or possess any lethal weapon.

That comment is unneccesary. This is the real murder of a real little boy that we live with everyday. It's not a talking point for you. You don't get to use it to your advantage in a post. Unresolved issues? What do you know about the unresolved issues of dealing with a murdered child?

My post merely states that the right to bear arms can never exist for everyone. Certain groups of people must be denied their rights. Just being allowed to live is enough.

I think most states with a license requirement do a mental health check if you sign a release or not. Last year here in NY, the permit process was held up for some time because the ONE person in the mental health department who did these checks retired and there was no one else "trained" to do that job.

The "may issue" gun laws in all states such as NJ, NY, CT, MA, MD, CA suck. NJ and NY are the worst!
Funny. I live in NYS. I stopped at Ruby Tuesday's on my way home tonight. I sat at the bar armed, had a beer and some eats. My friend was also armed. No laws were broken. The only problems in NYS are NYC, the lack of a licensing standard (may issue) and failure to recognize non-residents rights.

That's all? How about recognizing Federal Law about transport through NY. NYC and your land locked total control airports?

People here in Maine just do not understand how bad it is elsewhere. We just walk into the store buy any handgun rifle shotgun or multiples of one or all and walk out with them in hand. Freedom is never missed until it is gone.

Don't confuse NYC and NYS. They are governed by different laws. NYC is a commie, socialist, liberal stronghold. Elsewhere in the state there are no issues with transportation or airports.

I love Kittery Trading Post!!

OK, so that would be like saying Texas is Great for Firearms travel, but don't fly into Dallas!! It is time for New York City, Bloomberg, and all the other anti-gun nuts to adhere to federal law, including Holder!!

If I enter TX without the proper permit I'm under arrest. I won't be released at the side of the road just because I say I'm traveling through the state. THAT, is an affirmative defense, used later to get the charge dropped. Most states will arrest a non-res without a permit.

NYC, however, is a very bad place for gun owners. Bloomy thinks he's above the law. There are some areas of Brooklyn (New Lots) where police historically didn't stop at intersections as they were routinely shot at (Read: Brooklyn Bounce by Joe Poss). The gun=crime mentality still prevails there. Plus, NYC is home to a huge anti-gun immigrant population. They vote. They will never agree with our opinions.
