Springfield Armory XD versus XDS

I've owned an XD 40 for the past year and love it. However, I'm thinking it's a little big for concealed carry. I'm wondering if others have experienced the same concerns, as well as others that regularly carry this pistol with no problems. My potential answer is the XDS 40. I've heard rumors that Springfield Armory will be introducing the XDS in .40 S&W in the near future. Can anyone verify or discount this?

I haven't heard that they will. But if you're going to switch to the smaller gun, why not the 45?
I've had mine for over a year now, & I carry it everyday. Get a couple extended mags for back
up & you're good to go.
Can't begin to tell you how much I missed this gun while it was in for up-grade.

I just got to the range with my XDs in 9mm... love this little gun. Considering buying the 45, too.
