Smith and wesson sd 9 ve brand new

I recently purchased this handgun. I've put around 100 rounds through it and so far it hasn't stove piped or jammed once. I know its a cheap gun but it is a very goon hand gun. I carry it on a fobus paddle holster on my right side and I have been looking for other options I like leather but it puts a lot of wear on the slide. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've seen many vids on U-Tube about ways to lighten up and remove the scratchiness from this series of weapons. There's lots of help out there to lighten this model up.
