Just picked up a Sig I have been looking to get for a while. I have been wanting a 224 in 9MM, but most of the early 224s were 40 cal double action only. My local gun store finally got one in and I went by on Saturday to pick it up. This is an Extreme 9MM with DA/SA, short reset trigger & Hogue grips.
It is a little heavy when loaded, but I like the idea of all metal pistols, call me old school. What really attracted me was all the controls are exactly the same as on my P226s & M11 A1s and the magazines for both of these fit in the P224.
Sill need to be a little careful, the M11 A1s will work with the P226 mags, but not the P224.
The P226s will not accept mags from the P224 or M11 A1s
But it is nice that all the Sig mags I have will fit the P224
