The purse carrying young mother who died in walmart recently is repeatedly described in story after story as "She was not the least bit irresponsible".
I can see where this is quickly headed. She did everything correctly and it is somehow the gun itself that is the problem.
As a nation of gun owners, we had better get that notion thrown off the table pretty damn fast. If the *guns* are thought to be the problem, rather than the occasional irresponsible *gun owner* (which in this case she clearly was at fault regurdless of what her family is saying), we are in for a rollback of our gun rights.
I would urge everyone to send a polite letter off to your lawmakers on both local and national levels, and urge them to continue to support gun rights policies.
