Sense & Sensibility

Somebody please help me make heads or tails of the State of Wisconsin's silly new (this past year) concealed carry reciprocity with the State of Florida.

Wisconsin's DOJ website states they only recognize a...

"Florida license ISSUED OR RENEWED TO NON-FLORIDA RESIDENTS ON OR AFTER 08/01/2013."

So, as a Florida resident with a Florida concealed carry permit, I am not allowed to carry in Wisconsin BUT, if I were, say, a New York resident who snow-birds in FL and obtains a Florida NON-RESIDENT concealed carry permit, then it would be just perfectly fine for me to carry in Wisconsin???

Does that make any sense whatsoever to anyone???

Mike

The Florida non resident is a 7 year license. (At least mine is.) The only valid licenses would be 2013 and newer anyway, correct?

I misread the post. After looking it up, the same holds true for Virginia residents.
