Another Demorakrat from the Low Country heard from. Think he is just trying to get his name in the paper instead of doing something useful.:angry:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina state senator who represents the district that includes Charleston's Emanuel AME Church is proposing tougher state gun controls in the aftermath of the shootings at the church that killed nine people.

Democratic Sen. Marlon Kimpson announced Monday he plans to pre-file bills in the General Assembly banning assault weapons, strengthening background checks and creating a gun registration system to make it easier to track guns.

Kimpson said the state must take action before there's another tragedy.

One of his proposals is a state background check that would insure state information not available on federal background checks is not overlooked or missed. Kimpson also wants gun owners to register their guns with the State Law Enforcement Division so there is an accurate gun tracking system.

Because we all see how well these things worked in places like NY, MA, CT, CA. And another background check? Doesn't that mean the first background check is ineffective?

Have to agree with Waffles, another politician trying to get his name in the paper by riding the coattails of those who were killed. Shameless. Where was he before the shooting? Does he own any guns?

Politicians don't want solutions, they just want to show how much they care. Don't let any opportunities go to waste.
