self guided ammo

anyone heard of the new self guided ammo they say its not only for military uses i thought it was made only for the xm 25 wich i looked and is only for the military as far as i can see what other guns does it fit and where can you get it not that i want it i was just curious is all cause i saw it on yahoo new a while back

Right now, this is probably a 2 person team proposition, the spotter designates the target with a laser while the shooter launches the projectile. Similar to how the spec ops guys sometimes laze a target while a fighter/bomber drop a laser guided bomb on the target.
