I was reading on line about CHP* course qualifications* in Nebraska
I was wondering* how they score, does it have to be dead center
on target or is it a matter of proving yourself competent???

The test portion of the shooting is a total of 30 shots. You can miss 9 and still pass. A hit is anywhere inside the bottle shaped Q target. Pretty easy to pass. I have never seen anyone fail it.

Needing practice goes for everyone for lots of reasons.

Thank you for the info
as for the written part I am studying
State Patrol f a q
and CHP rules
Four Basic Firearms Safety Rules:

1) Treat all firearms as if they are loaded.
2) Always keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to fire.
3) NEVER point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
4) Before the decision to fire, be sure of your target, your target’s environment and any other safety hazards.
any recommendations for me ??
