PX4 .40 vs S&W .40

I have recently purchased a Beretta PX4 .40. At work we carry the S&W M&P .40. I like the look and feel of the PX4 over the S&W. Other than the maker is there any differences in the handguns?

The beretta's barrel rotates under recoil and that is said to mitagate recoil.

I am interested in their sub compact. That one has a tilt barrel, but I understand it is really accurate and doesn't recoil harshly
