Pistol permit turn around time Manchester CT

Ive been lurking the forum since taking my permit course. I've also tried searching for info on turn around time when applying in Manchester and couldn't find any info so I figured I'd post my experience. I submitted my permit application at Manchester PD on August 7th and just received my approval letter today. It states that the permit is dated 9-5-12 so it took roughly a month to be approved but 5 weeks to receive it.

When I got mine over 5 years ago in Manchester it took close to 9 months. First they needed new prints, then they lost the new prints.. Then they needed some other info that they failed to mention the first two times I was there. Then the officer was absent for some reason (which is fine, things happen, but really only one person can do it?). Ultimately it went through, it just took forever, and they were nice in general when I interacted with them.

On the flip side, my wife got hers the year after, and it took hers 6 weeks.

Guess I was just unlucky.
