A few posts down NavyLCDR posted the whole meeting, where the citizens spoke first for half an hour and then the council declared a legislative emergency and passed the ordinance changes with immediate effect. At least in your own town the politicians may be reachable, and even if this whole thing was more a show than anything else (removing laws that were already null and void by state preemption) it's good that their officials listened and even the obvious anti's voted unanimously to pass this change.
