On December 17th at the Genesee Conservation League in Penfield, we will be holding an NRA RSO class for those of you that want to learn more about safety, operating an event or range safely, and how to help others handle firearms safer.

This RSO course is designed to develop NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
Subjects Covered:
Roles and responsibilities of an RSO
Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Range inspection
Range rules
Range briefings
Emergency procedures
Firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
Required Equipment:
A 1" 3-ring binder
A notebook
Eye and ear protection
Prerequisites:
A current NRA membership or application during the workshop
A working knowlege of the three main NRA safety rules
The abilty to interact with people at a professional level
