Hello all. Just checking in from Jackson County, MO. Don't have my CCW yet, but am going to this fall. Is the sheriff in Jackson County very CCW friendly?

Welcome. This is mostly helpful bunch and good place to keep up and learn.
My humble suggestion is to get started right now to get your CCW permit. Since that will likely take a while, begin by open carrying now if MO will allow.

No issues with the county sheriff that I know of. It does take time for first permit, but renewing goes fine.
We have pretty good support from the county legislature as well.
I would say do NOT try to open carry especially in Kansas City. There position in the past was to take the gun
and make you prove you can do it. Get in a class and get it done.

Good morning over there in Jackson County...from Crawford Couny here. I can only speak for our county...in which I experience no difficulties. The application process is normally carried out in a professional manner.
