Can anyone tell me if the government shut down is causing a delay in receiving my CCW permit in Ohio? I have been calling, but no one is answering the phone, been leaving voice messages with no results.

Could be. I'm not sure but I think that they check you federally through the FBI so it is quite possible it is being held up by the shutdown.

The state of Ohio not answering their phones should not be a result of the semi Federal government shutdown.

I think every last one of them including Mr. Obama (and the vice Pres. as well) needs to be fired and new people need to be put in to replace them. I will go for a "Real" voting where every vote counts to get the right people in. Then this shutdown might mean something.
