leading or pitting?

Hi
I have a S&W 442 with about 300 rounds through it, mostly SWC and wadcutters, some 135gr speer JHP.

I acquired a bore light a few days ago and discovered what looks like pitting near the muzzle. what do I need to fix it? Or should I even worry about it?

Looks like lead.

Hit it with a good solvent, like Hoppes or similar, and a good bronze brush.

You may want to invest in a lead remover cloth for the cylinder face and front corners of the frame (ahead of the cylinder).

Thanks!
I have tried Hoppes and elbow grease, but after 10 tries (Hoppes then brass brush a dozen times or so) I really didn't see a difference.

Are the lead cloths safe for bluing?
