With the economy doing it's thing, we have two homes in our area of operations that are getting sold due to the fact that the current owners can't keep up with the payments. This is not a good thing. Any time there is an empty structure or a for sale sign it seems to invite bad things.
Organize and maintain a neighborhood watch.

and keep an eye out for cars and folks that don't seem like likely buyers.
