I bought a Russian IJ-70 Makarov this evening. The .380 ammo was nearly half as expensive as the gun.
Local pawn shop has 30% off their guns.
I had one of these when I was in Iraq but it was 9mm. I took it from a POW. I was really trying to figure out how to get it back "home" but the chain of command said no, no - even if I had the mechanics weld the barrel so it was not fireable.
Broke my heart when I disassembled it into a handful of pieces and scattered it out in the desert.
Bummer is they never even checked us for weapons when we came home. Could've threw it in my duffel bag and got on the plane.
