Hospital carry in Indiana

Does Indiana permit firearms carry in hospitals? I have an Ohio CHL, and will be visiting a hospital in Indiana. Ohio does not allow firearms in hospitals, but I'd like to know for sure about Indiana.

Thanks in advance.

Not if the Hospital has a Psych Ward. If the hospital does not have a psych ward, then yes, you can legally carry. However, in the state of Indiana, we honor all other states Carry Licenses/Permits, but if you are from out of state, you must follow your state's laws regarding carry while in Indiana. For instance, if your state does not allow carrying in a hospital and you come into Indiana, you are not legally allowed to carry in a hospital, psych ward or no psych ward. I remember reading that earlier this year, but for the life of me cannot remember the reference code for it. Sorry.

"What places are off-limits when carrying a concealed weapon in {STATE**?"

IC 35-47-9-1 - Schools of any kind (You may carry in your vehicle if you may legally possess a firearm and if you are transporting another person to or from a school or a school function) AND/OR Property being used for a school function
IC 35-47-6-0.5 - Airports and Aircrafts
IAC 1-7-1 - Riverboats (Casinos)
S.E.A. 292 - Buildings that contain a courtroom AND Hospitals that contain a psychiatric ward
80 IAC 4-4-4 - During Annual State Fair (Must lock in Vehicle.)
130 IAC 4-1-8 - Shipping Port

Oops! I wish I had seen this reply yesterday morning. Thanks for your reply. It fully answered my question and I appreciate it. I'll just leave it in the car the next time I go there. Ohio specifically disallows carry of any kind in any hospital, whether the hospital has a psych/criminal ward or not.
