Head of My LCP's Takedown Pin Sheared Off

The head of my LCP's firing pin sheared off while I was firing it. I didn't notice until I was done shooting, as the weapon continued to operate fine. I have about 500 rounds through the weapon.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? Should it affect my confidence in the weapon?

Thus far I've been very happy with the gun and I am not looking to make a change in my EDC, but this was a little disappointing.
