While watching An episode of Gun Stories About the infamous 1911 and it's history, many pictures of various types of 1911s were illustrated.

But then they displayed a picture of a beretta M9

Oops!

Anyone else catch that? Don't get me wrong, I love my Beretta but to show a picture of the M9?

Yeah, I remember seeing that and doing a double take. It might have made sense if they were talking about it replacing the M1911 for the military, but apparently it was just a mistake. I was shocked that a show that focused on firearms would make that simple a slip up.

I noticed it too. And last week was a recap episode, and in the segment they revisited the 1911, they showed the M9 again!!! Oops!

You have to remember that TV shows and ads are usually filmed and edited by folks that know relatively nothing about the actual subject matter. Anybody remember this embarrassing ad? Nice magazine, huh?

I remember watching an American Rifleman show about the AK47 where they displayed an Stg44 as an AK.... close.... but, fail.
