Going to the range today.

I get to shoot my Mosin-Nagant for the first time. And my SR9. It's gonna be a fun day.

Have a great time. When I got my M1 Garand in I was like a kid at Christmas. Be sure to give a report of the days events.

Well, the Mosin does kick but it's not as bad as the 270 I shot. I ran about 100 rounds through the Mosin and about the same through the Ruger. The Mosin shot about 1.5" to the right so I need to adjust the sights a little bit. I was worried about misfires with the Russian surplus ammo but not a hiccup to be had.

I love my SR9. I could shoot that all day. I brought a friend who just got his CWP. He's trying to decide what gun to get for EDC. I've been suggesting the SR9C and he enjoyed shooting my full size Ruger.

Before leaving the range, I squirted about a cup or two of windex down the bore of the Mosin. Now I'm heading home to clean them.

All in all, it was a good range day.
