glock gen 4 guide rod question.

Does anyone know if the new glock 17 gen 4 double guide rod spring assembly will fit in older gen glock 17s?
Not a glock guy so be gentle.

no,its in the gen 4 manual

The new G-4 parts are not compatible with the older generations, this includes the recoil assembly, slide, magazine release and backstraps. However if you change the slide and recoil assembly you will be fine. You won't have the interchangable backstrap and switchable magazine release features obviously.
